En Francais : Giverny avec des enfants
Visiting Monet's
home and garden is generally great fun for
children. To make most of your visit, we advice to come at 9:30 a.m.
and to begin with the house as long as it is empty. Then, linger in the
flowers garden and near the waterlilies pond. To know more about Claude Monet, you
can read about his life on intermonet.com.
After your visit to Monet's home, suggest your children to see another garden of colors at Musee des Impressionnismes Giverny. Last but not least, if Giverny made you want to see works by Claude Monet, you will find a couple of them at the Museum of Vernon. This quiet little museum is full of treasures and especially fit for small children. It specializes in animal art. Children love recognizing animals in paintings or sculptures. They will also like the archeology section with a few prehistorical objects found in the region. |
