My husband, son-in-law, grandson, a friend that worked with my husband and I spent three days in Paris last August, 2002. I was given a choice of staying longer in Paris or going to Giverny. I chose Giverny with out any hesitation. We did not have hotel reservations but were able to rent two rooms at the Normandy in Vernon. We spent a day at Giverny and loved every minute of our time there. Monet's home and gardens were all I had hoped for and more. The people in the shops were friendly and helpful in every way. We enjoyed a delightful green salad with chicken and out of this world dressing under the big yellow umbrellas. My husband has promised me a return trip either in the Spring or Fall in 2004. I love your Web Site and am "saving" information on hotels in the area.

I went to Paris in 2001 on my honeymoon. My husband and I had heard about Monet's house from so many people. Hearing it and seeing it are two different things.

Monet's house and gardens were absolutely beautiful! I could feel Monet's presence in the house. So for those of you planning to go to France- make sure that you visit Monet's house. It is worth your while.

Site remarquable...et d'une beauté sans pareille. I love Mr claude Monet paintings. I am suffering from major depression and when I look at some of his paintings it makes me feel safe and warm. I particular feel safe in the painting "dans Le Prairie" which was hanging in my doctors office and she suggested I should purchase that print because it makes me feel safe and peaceful.

Never been into art but whilst i was cruising i bought two Monet prints from Newport U.S.A. Limited edition (295) of "THE VILLA" and "VENICE" as an investment for my boy.Both of these paintings have a very interesting history behind them.The originals have had pigmentation tests and are dated arond 1908 when Monet was active in Venice,both these paintings have been signed by the artist and i'm currently waiting for conformation that the original oils are in fact Monets.I hope so,anyway they look the business in my living room.By the way the website was interesting.Cheers!

Je reve toujours de visiter la France. Mais, j'ai un travail ou on ne me permets pas de partir plus de trois ou quatre jours et j'ai aussi 18 animaux qui ont besoin de moi. Last year I found le petit chemin to Giverny behind all of the trafic on the main road. This is a wonderful way to take in the scenery of the river valley by foot or on bicycle. Last year in June it was so green and beautiful. I shall certainly be back in 2003!
