Bus-Saint-Rémy is a village located 12 km from Giverny and Monet's gardens, one hour from Paris, in a countryside of rolling hills. The landscape is so lovely that the area has long been much sought-after by city dwellers for their second home. Nowadays, these houses on the country are inhabited by lovers of a gentle way of life. |
|
This is what happened to la Buissonnière, the beautiful estate of the Bonnet family. This former stone farmhouse of the 18th Century belonged in the twenties to an engineer at Citroën, who transformed it in the style of the times. The house now allies typical features of country houses and of the Roaring Twenties, what gives it a very special charm.

The name 'la Buissonnière' evocates the trimmed boxwoods in the garden (buis in French) and the name of the village, Bus meaning « grove ». |
